Game changer

It took a few runs to get the pressure sorted, and then the rebound seemed to behave very differently with the insert in, even with higher pressures. So, It took a while longer to get enough pop to prevent nose dive on jumps. But once it was dialled, it changed my entire riding experience. I have more grip and more travel than ever before. If you are a lighter rider, struggling to get all the travel on offer from your fork, the Truetune is a game changer.

I have always struggled to achieve full fork travel unless I dropped the air pressure, which led to it diving through its travel. The fork now feels more supportive and uses all the travel in a controlled way. The fork get incredible at Antur Stiniog today.

My fork looks another, and now I'm using all the travel

It makes the ride more comfortable all the way but also using the full length of the fork without bottoming, I mean it can give you everything. Used in my 2023 Orbea Wild M10 e-bike.

I run my forks soft with no tokens and up till now I've just lived with the harsh bottom out. Fork still feels like there is no token bottom the harsh stop at the end of travel is gone. Table to flat or successive chunky hits and it just feels like the fork hasn't hit the end of its travel even though the o-ring tells a different story! This bit of kit is well worth it.

Awesome bit of kit. Installed into my Tftuned 170mm Domain fork on my Trek rail. Made a great fork better.

Running the short insert in my Fox 38 170mm I feel more support in the mid stroke from the beginning! Just ad 10% pressure and ready to go!

Turns out, it's not snake oil at all!
Trouble is, no matter how much I try to describe it to people, it really sounds like it is.
The trick will be getting more people on them and focussing on the rider's experience on the trail.

I’ve done a lot of tinkering with past forks to achieve both full travel and decent support (including shortening the air piston rod with a saw) but recent long travel forks have been fine. Until I got my current Zeb. Even zero tokens was too much ramp to get full travel without making it too soft.
Until I put a TruTune insert in it. Voila! Both good support at sag and full travel when I really slam something. Amazing.

Have a Transition Spur that came with a SID select fork that was pretty mediocre overly progressive and harsh at times. The TruTune worked as advertised! Made it more supple, better small bump compliance and better mid stroke too. Also took out the spikey and bucking issues I had with the fork.

Achieved exactly what I wanted now getting full travel and I’m able to run the fork at the correct pressure for my weight allowing the fork to ride higher in its travel

I was fortunate enough to meet the Trutune team at an event in Ballater, Scotland where they had a demo rig available to show the insert in action. After purchasing and installation i have to admit that the insert has made the fork feel more progressive and i am now using the full travel of the fork without ever bottoming it out. Also worth noting that the insert has improved the microvibrations i used to get going over loose and rocky ground at speed. So far, very impressed.

I Have a Fox 36 Performance Elite (Grip2 damper) with a short 140 mm of travel on my Norco Optic, I bought the Truetune because I found the fork very arch despite all the set up i've been trying. Maybe be this fork is very good in the 150/160 travel ? Anyway, I'm very happy with the Truetune, the fork is very cofortable now ! A big difference in fact ! I live and ride in the south east of France on very rocky trails, in this conditions I can tell if the suspensions are good or not. I used four spacers (like recomanded in the Norco app), now, no more spacers, just the Trutune. You must increase the air pressure and speed up the rebound of the fork, I added a click or two of compression, and i feel a real big difference now ! I'm very happy of my purchase ! I think it's a must have on short travel forks. I can't tell on longer travel...

I thought a lot about how I could improve my Zeb fork. It works well and is smooth, but I was only using a bit over 140mm of its 170mm of travel on my local trails. I am not riding Red Bull Rampage, but I am not pottering around a cross country course either.

After fitting the Truetune cartridge and raising the pressure by 5% I am now using 160mm of travel on a trail that is not particularly challenging. I know a 4 foot huck to flat will probably bottom it out, but I will deal with that if and when I do that.

As well as having the extra travel, the fork does seem to react quicker to square edge bumps. hitting rock gardens at speed is not an issue. I feel the fork gives me more front end grip. Now, Truetune, when are you going to release that cartridge for the RS Super Deluxe that you have been working on? I notice the lack of traction in the rear suspension more, now that I have the Truetune cartridge in the fork.

Looking at the cartridge, this wasn’t a cheap upgrade for what it is, but it is very good value for what it does. Big single crown forks should come with these from the factory.
